A bit about me
I believe coaching is rooted in sharing and owning your personal story, so here's a bit of mine: My journey began in Texas, where I was born and raised. I studied Psychology and Marketing at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and was heavily involved on my campus.
Upon graduating, I moved to the greater Los Angeles area to pursue my master's degree in College Counseling and Student Development at Azusa Pacific University. This is where my passions really came into focus as I learned about the climate of higher education, the needs of students, and the developmental aspects of emerging adults (18-24).
I love working with college students and young adults because it is a pivotal stage of life, full of opportunities for growth and learning. And now I'm a life coach! I do this for a number of reasons, but the main one is that it comes so naturally to me. I grew up in a family of 4 kids, and I was always known as the mediator, the listener, the "tender-hearted" one, as my dad likes to say. Throughout my life, I have found that relationships (real, meaningful relationships) have been the most fulfilling and valuable aspect of my life.
Growth is not passive. It takes investment, support, and intentionality. It is very difficult to see everything clearly when you're trying to sort things out on your own, so it's helpful to have someone on the outside who can listen and verbalize what they see in your life. To read more about this concept, take a look at the stories on the Testimonials page.
I am passionate about having fun, pushing limits, and adventuring. To me, adventure is anything new, and awe-inspiring, and it's something I incorporate into my practice as a life coach. I absolutely love the Los Angeles area, and I think we have a lot to learn from the city and it's many community members. I hope to open your eyes to the world around you by simply going out and being a part of it. This is why I have chosen many locations around the city for individual client sessions. My goal is to help my clients see life differently in order to not only live fully, but to thrive in all they do.
I hope you'll consider joining me on this adventure!
